Here is an Insight into the delivery of University College London Hospital’s (UCLH) cyclotron for their new Proton Beam Therapy facility in London and what it means for British citizens to have this facility available to NHS patients in the UK.

This ground-breaking facility is on track to treat patients in 2020, with the successful installation of the Cyclotron, the beating heart of the Proton Centre.

STW are the lead consultant in a team of five corporations working together to deliver the new Proton Beam Therapy unit in London.
The project team consists of STW, Campbell Reith, WSP & CCRD, Harley Haddow and Bouygues UK.

The 34,600 m2 facility is currently under construction in the heart of London at Grafton Way, next to University College of London Hospital, on Tottenham Court Road. When completed, it will offer a world-leading new radiotherapy to patients, which targets tumours more precisely.
